Lesley Walter - Cake Designer


HOW IT STARTED

Lesley was already running a successful business as a cake maker. Her business was evolving and her current branding was no longer a good fit. She wanted to move into the more higher end wedding cake market. This meant a whole new approach to her brand, a new ideal client and higher price point.

She came to me looking to develop her business name and branding to appeal to this new ideal client and really reflect what she was all about.


WHAT WE DID

“The Simply Gorgeous Cake Co.” became “Lesley Walter Cake Design” - Lesley stepped into her brand and using her name and “cake design” really took things to the next level. 

We created an identity with her ideal client in mind, but that was still reflective of Lesley and the quality and skill she brings to her work. A simple sophisticated colour palette, elegant typography and delicate botanical illustrations came together to make the impression Lesley was looking for.

She absolutely loves Sri Lankan elephants and from getting to know Lesley, it became apparent that we just had to include it. She plans to incorporate a small hidden elephant in all of her cakes so we incorporated an elephant icon into the logo suite, creating a submark that worked as a unique mark of quality.


AND THE RESULTS...

Lesley now feels confident that her new branding attracts her ideal client and has been able to price her services accordingly.

She is receiving lots of positive feedback that her new branding feels very high end.

She has been featured in Khush Wedding Magazine.
